About the owner: 

Paul Pettit began his career in the swimming pool industry in 2010, fresh out of high school, when what started as a summer job quietly turned into a long-term calling. His late brother, Jesse, owned and operated a successful swimming pool company in the Chattanooga area and offered him an opportunity to get his foot in the door. The work began at the gritty end of the spectrum, cleaning neglected pools thick with algae, breaking up concrete and tile, removing worn-out liners, and taking on the kind of physically demanding tasks typically handed to an 18-year-old just starting out.

Over time, Paul transitioned into pool maintenance while attending college locally. Eventually, he chose to pursue the work full-time, diving deeper into the industry with intention. He took initiative, sought out knowledge, and steadily accepted greater responsibility, building both skill and confidence. Over the next 14 years, he committed himself to learning every facet of the trade, refining his efficiency while also making sure each customer received thoughtful solutions tailored to their needs.

The inspiration behind his company was shaped by personal loss. After the sudden passing of his brother Jesse, Paul felt a renewed sense of purpose. Jesse had a natural gift for connecting with people, earning trust quickly through his honesty and expertise. That legacy became a guiding force. Paul credits much of his growth, not just as a pool professional, but as a communicator, leader, and trusted partner, to his brother’s influence. This company stands as a dedication to him.

Mountain Stone Pool Company is a locally owned and licensed business rooted in both craftsmanship and connection. The company specializes in servicing existing in-ground pools and spas, while also offering construction of new vinyl-lined, fiberglass, and gunite swimming pools, always with a focus on quality work and lasting relationships.
